BRYANT POND — The 4-H Camp and Learning Center offers many programs for kids of all ages that teach them outdoor skills, team building and environmental education.
Survivor Camps will be available this summer to young people ages 10 to 12 and 13 to 15. During the camp, three teams of eight will compete against each other through a series of skills and challenges.
Teams will set up campsites and meet each day to participate against each other in numerous challenges like archery, fire-making, shelter building, raft survival, paddling, woods craft and group problem solving. At the end of the week, the teams will compete for the main prize in the daylong Survivor Camp Adventure Challenge. The better the team works together, the more points they earn. Campers will not be voted off; everyone works together as a team.
Registration for the survivor camps are ongoing until the programs are full. The camp for ages 10 to 12 will be Aug. 15 to 20; the camp for ages 13 to 15 will be June 27 to July 2 and again from Aug. 23 to 27.
An Aqua Survivor Camp is also available for ages 12 to 14, and will run from Aug. 1 to 6.
