Receive grant
ROXBURY — For the second year, the Silver Lake Camp Owners Association has received a grant from the Lakes Environmental Association to help support the courtesy boat inspections at the Roxbury Pond boat ramp. The inspection is designed to educate boaters of the potential for invasive aquatic plants and how they are transported from location to location.
The grant is a cost sharing grant with a match from the association. The match on the association’s part comes from member volunteers performing boat and trailer inspections at the boat ramp. To volunteer for the summer, contact Michael Ronan at 545-2119, Matt Towle at 401-524-3249 or visit the association website at slcoa.org.
