The New Gloucester Rescue Department celebrated EMS Week with an open house on May 19. The EMS has been serving the town for 35 years. More than 200 people passed through the station to celebrate. In the photo, Deputy Chief Mary Rich is being assisted by New Gloucester EMT Matt Magill and Ann Elkanich from the Gray Rescue, demonstrating a chest pain call. The children got to see what a patient’s heart beat looks like on the monitor. There were door prizes and a free barbecue.
