FORT WORTH, Texas — Richard R. Levesque of Fort Worth, Texas, 81, formerly of Lewiston, passed away Oct. 7, 2009, at home where he has lived for the last three years, with his family at his side.

He was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Lewiston, the son of Leo and Alice Levesque. He attended local schools and was a resident of the community for most of his life.

He was married to Gwendolyn Whitney, June 6, 1946. He was a former Auburn firefighter and worked as a truck driver for local companies until his retirement.

He enjoyed traveling to Florida, Texas, California, spending time working in the yard, with his three dogs, Gizmo, Scrappie and Thomas following him around. He loved spending time with his family and visiting with them.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather.

He is survived by the love of his life, Gwen Marland; his children, sons, Raymond and wife, Elaine, Michael and wife, Ruby, Toby and wife, Cathy; daughters, Janet Aliberti and husband, Al, Julie Brown and husband, Arthur (Shep), and Lisa Morin and husband, Moe; three brothers, Marcel and Theresa of Illinois, Raymond and Dorothy of Lewiston and Roger of Florida; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Elaine Watson of California; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his step mother, Valda Levesque; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Levesque of Lewiston; a brother-in-law, Donald Watson of California; and a sister-in-law, and brother-in-law, Thomas and Dorothy Giberti of Auburn.
