NORWAY — Bonita “Bonnie” Learned, 71, of Newry, died June 24, in Norway.

She was born in Berlin, N.H., April 10, 1939, the daughter of Everett and Lydia (Gilbert) Gatchell and was educated in Gorham schools graduating from Gorham High School, Class of 1957. Bonnie was an avid animal lover and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by one stepson, John Learned of Rochester, N.H.; five stepdaughters, Vikki Gurney Kemp of North Carolina, Cindy Sweetser and Tammy Jolin, both of Rumford and Debra Brown and Sheri Judkins, both of Farmington; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband of 32 years, Leroy Learned March 23, 2009; one son, Douglas Palmer; and two brothers, Gilbert Gatchell and Albert “Bobby” Gatchell.
