LEWISTON — Laura M. Baird, 79, of Norway, died Sunday, June 27, at the Russell Park Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Greene, Nov. 23, 1931, the daughter of Norman and Myra (Rollins) Reed. She worked for many year at New England Life Insurance.

She is survived by her son, Daniel Chambers of South Paris; daughters, Laura McNally of New Gloucester and Starr Deegan of Everett, Mass.; brothers, Walter Reed, Kenneth Reed and Milton Reed; half brother, Donald Robbins; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Almyra Thyng; and a brother, Erlon Reed.
