Between 7 a.m. Friday, June 18, and 7 a.m. Friday, June 25, Lewiston police responded to 749 calls for service. Of those calls, 145 were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal mischief

A vehicle parked at Pub 33 had all four tires slashed prior to 1:45 a.m. on June 23.

A vehicle parked at 18 College St. was tagged with graffiti between 11 p.m. on June 18 and 7 a.m. on June 19. “MCC” was written on the trunk in black marker.

A dump truck parked at 25 Landry Road had sand poured into the engine sometime prior to 3 p.m. on June 21. It caused $10,000 in damage.

A door to an apartment at 230 Sabattus St. was kicked in sometime between 2:30 and 11:30 p.m. on June 21. No property was taken.

An apartment at 106 Walnut St. had several windows broken by thrown rocks between 11 a.m. on June 18 and 10 a.m. on June 19.

An apartment window at 54 Knox St. was broken by a thrown rock at 11 p.m. on June 24.

A gate to the Southern Gateway Parking Garage at 425 Lisbon St. was broken off prior to 8 p.m. on June 23.

Several mailboxes in the area of 386 Lincoln St. were smashed between 2 and 4 a.m. on June 24.

A bench at the Payne Simard Park was tagged with “Pigs” in black marker sometime prior to 2 a.m. on June 23.

Motor vehicle burglaries

A vehicle parked at 83 Strawberry Ave. was burglarized overnight June 21-June 22. A Gucci watch was taken.

A vehicle parked at 160 Scribner Blvd. was burglarized prior to 7 p.m. on June 23. The suspect attempted to remove the stereo but was unsuccessful.

A vehicle parked at 12 River St. had a Blackberry cell phone taken from inside of it around 11:30 a.m. on June 21.

Burglary

An apartment at 417 Main St. was burglarized prior to 9:54 p.m. on June 21.

A residence at 44 Sylvan Ave. had a couch, a 32-inch inch TV and three books of checks taken from inside sometime prior to 8:30 p.m. on June 19.

A residence at 16 Orange St. was burglarized at 10:30 p.m. on June 17. The homeowner arrived home to find two mountain bikes propped up against his garage and two male subjects jumping the backyard fence. They later came back to the house to retrieve the bicycles, and he described them as; a 16-year-old white male, 5-feet, 10-inches tall, 150 pounds, long dark hair; and an 18- to 20-year-old white male, 5-feet, 6-inches to 5-feet, 8-inches tall, short hair, glasses. A Chicago rotary tool and a Dewalt drill were taken from the garage.

An apartment at 4 Hartley St. had damage done to a door during an apparent attempted burglary that occurred prior to 10:15 a.m. on June 18.

A residence at 25 Ashmount St. was burglarized prior to 8:30 a.m. on June 20.

An apartment at 81 Lincoln St. was burglarized prior to 11:30 a.m. on June 18, a laptop was taken.

Thefts

A vehicle parked at 11 McArthur Ave. had a set of golf clubs taken from its bed sometime in the morning on June 18.

At 11:30 a.m. on June 23 a 30- to 50-year-old male with dirty brown hair stole two extension ladders from a residence at 330 Pond Road and left the scene in a silver truck with several other ladders on top of it already.

A donation box was stolen from the counter of the Dunkin’ Donuts at 1930 Lisbon St. at 8 p.m. on June 20. The suspect was a white male in a silver Ford Taurus with a brown door.

A green Huffy 15-speed mountain bike was stolen from 1176 Lisbon St. overnight June 19-June 20.

An HP laptop was stolen from a window at 138 Blake St. overnight June 23-June 24. The suspect damaged the screen window in order to reach the computer.
