JAY — The Jay-Livermore Falls Independence Day parade will be held on Saturday, July 3. Lineup will start at 3 p.m. at MEMCO on Main Street. The parade will kickoff at 5 p.m. and march from MEMCO to Ware-Butler Inc. in Livermore Falls.

Bible shool

FARMINGTON — Children are invited to “Hit the Trail” at Vacation Bible School sponsored by the Farmington Baptist Church. The program will meet from 9 a.m. to noon Monday to Friday, July 12 to 16, in the field across from the Fairgrounds.

Children will learn about having a relationship with Jesus through Bible stories, crafts, snacks, motivating music and games. For more information, call Eileen at 778-3615.

PHILLIPS — David Toothaker and the Phillips High School Class of 1967 have kicked off a fundraising effort to spruce up the Phillips Community Church building, known locally for many years as the Congregational Church.

The class intends to raise $15,000 by August to help repaint and fix up the interior and the roof of the 175-year old building. Contributions should be sent to Nana Haines, P.O. Box 235, Phillips, ME 04966, made out to “Congregational Church.”

Concert, barbecue

LIVERMORE — A country gospel music concert and barbecue chicken dinner will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 4, at Victory Christian Church, 1680 Federal Road.

The concert is free and will feature local talent, including White Dove Ministries. The cost for dinner is $7 for adults and $3.50 for kids age 11 and under.

There will be face painting, clowns and an inflatable playhouse. For more information, call 897-2111.
