Marcel Obie, foreman, and Wayne Ricker, director of Lisbon’s transfer station for 15 years, are pictured with a compost bin in front of the single stream recycling partitions. A “stop and shop” swap building was recently built at the Transfer Station. Donors can leave their still usable lamps, chairs, furniture, toys or other items at the shed and someone who needs them may pick them up for free.
