SOUTH PARIS — The veterans’ advocate will not be at the Maine Veterans’ Home on Wednesdays, July 7 and 21.

Karaoke

SOUTH PARIS — The South Paris Legion Hall on Church Street will host a karaoke event with John and Cheryl, The Old Crows, from 7 to 11 p.m. Friday, July 9. Admission is $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.

50/50 tickets will be sold and tickets will be drawn to win gift certificates. The lunch counter will be open. It is a chem-free event and all are welcome.

Worship service

NORWAY — All are welcome to join in worship, study and fellowship at the Second Congregational Church, UCC, 205 Main St. Beginning Sunday, July 4, and continuing through the month of August, Sunday worship will be held at 9 a.m. The nursery will be staffed and available for infants and toddlers. Children are encouraged to join their families in the sanctuary.

On July 4, Earl and Vickie Rogers, along with accompanist Ed Baldridge, will provide summer worship music. Communion, which is open to all, will be served by intinction by the Rev. Leslie B. Foley. There will be a collection of food for the local food pantry. If able, attendees are asked to bring a can of soup, a jar of peanut butter, cereal, pasta or some local produce for the food pantry.

Yard sale

LOCKE MILLS — A yard sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 10, at the Greenwood Historical Society building on Main Street. Rain date will be Saturday, July 17. Tables available at $5 each. Contact Denise Swan at 875- 2102.
