LEWISTON — Jordan Handy, a junior at Lewiston High School, will attend the Career Discovery Program at the Culinary Institute of America.

The program is designed for high school students who are considering a culinary career.

Handy will have the opportunity to work in a Culinary Institute of America kitchen with the guidance of acclaimed chef-instructors; attend and participate in cooking demonstrations, lectures and hands-on production; and learn about the wide range of opportunities in the food service and hospitality industry.

At the Lewiston Regional Technical Center, Handy is in the Culinary Arts Program under Chef Dan Caron. He is on the Lewiston High School junior varsity basketball team and a percussionist in the high school music program.

He is the son of Jim and Sharon Handy of Lewiston.
