LISBON FALLS — The Lisbon United Methodist Church will hold the first annual antique appraisal event from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, July 10, in conjunction with Moxie Days. Those interested may bring collectibles, paintings, antiques, glassware, memorabilia and other antique items to the church, 14 School St., to have them appraised.
The appraisal event will feature Daniel Buck Soules and associates, who will value items for a donation of $5 each item. Additional donations will be accepted. All donations will benefit the United Methodist Church.
Soules has been involved in the sale of antiques and fine art for more than 30 years and since 1999 has appeared as an appraiser of decorative arts, silver and collectibles on the PBS television program “Antiques Roadshow.”
During the event, verbal valuations will be given on fine art, decorative arts, furniture, glassware, silver and porcelain items. Firearms, jewelry, coins and stamps will not be appraised at this event.
Appointments are suggested. Call 353-8990 during regular business hours to schedule an appointment.
