LEWISTON — Linwood H. Wells, 69, of Greene, passed away July 4, at Central Maine MedicalCenter with his daughter-in-law at his side.

Linwood was born July 2, 1941, in Readfield, to Osborne and Lucille Tucker Wells. He graduated from Monmouth Academy in 1962. Linwood married Joan Wallace on Aug. 24, 1963. Together they raised three children in Greene, where they have lived since 1969.

Linwood was a truck driver all his life. Trucking for Maine Banana, Twin City Grain and Hannaford Trucking Co. until his retirement at the age of 62. Linwood enjoyed spending time with his family, and special times with his grandsons going to the dump to see what treasures they could find. He also enjoyed hanging out with Stub’s Wrecker Service. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Linwood is survived by his wife, Joan Wells of Greene; his daughter, Deborah Arsenault and husband, Jimmy, of Auburn; his son, Douglas Wells of Livermore; son, Dennis Wells and wife, Arnie, of Greene; his grandchildren, Jason Arsenault and wife, Paula, of Lewiston, Deanna Arsenault of Auburn, Linden Wells, Dustin Wells and Darien Wells, all of Greene; a great-granddaughter, Faith Arsenault of Lewiston; his mother, Lucille Wells of North Monmouth; brothers, Lawrence, Arthur and Kenneth; sisters, Maxine, Eleanor and Norma.

Linwood was predeceased by his father, Osborne Wells.
