BRYANT POND — The Whitman Memorial Library board of trustees met on May 20 to make plans for the summer and discuss outside projects.
There will be a book sale and white elephant sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, July 10. Donations of books, DVDs and VCR tapes are being accepted.
Photography by Julie Davis has been on display at the library the past few months. The newest artist is Troy Jordan. All are invited to stop by the library and see his paintings.
Summer programs have not been planned, but the board will take suggestions from anyone who would be willing to organize a reading or craft program. Contact the librarian on Tuesday or Thursday at 665-2505.
The library will also start placing cards beside books that they recommend to others. Board members and patrons are encouraged to participate in this.
