MEXICO — As part of the Mexico Public Library’s “Terrific Tuesdays” summer programs for kids, the library has announced two upcoming programs. Both will be held at 10 a.m. at the Calvin Lyons Hall, next door to the library.

On Tuesday, July 13, Brenda Sassi and Michelle Boucher-Ladd will present a “Lovely Librarians” story hour. Sassi is the librarian at Holy Savior School. Boucher-Ladd is a teacher at Holy Savior School and a former librarian. The books of Maine children’s author Chris Van Dusen will be featured.

On Tuesday, July 20, the library will host a show and tell pet show. Children are invited and encouraged to bring a pet to introduce to the group. Pets may be signed up and registered for the show at the library until Monday, July 19. It is necessary that pets be on a leash or in a carrier and be gentle around others. Although children are encouraged to bring a pet, it is not necessary to bring a pet in order to attend the program.

People of any age are invited to both programs, although the focus group is for kids ages 2 to 12. For more information, contact the library at 364-3281.
