DIXMONT — James T. Birkbeck Jr., 55, of Dixmont formerly of Lewiston died July 7, at his home with family by his side.
He was born in New London, Conn., the son of James T. Sr. and Myra F. (Packer) Birkbeck. James was an automobile mechanic by trade and most recently worked for Morris Auto of Auburn. He loved Harley-Davidson motorcycles and was a member of the United Bikers of Maine. He enjoyed ATV riding, Elvis, the ocean and most of all spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, the former Sharon Marcicky; two sons, James T. Birkbeck III and his companion, Nikea and Tommy Birkbeck; four daughters, Sharon Moreau and her husband, Patrick, Amanda Birkbeck-Field and her husband, Maurice, Jennifer Dykes and her husband, James “Trey” III and Cindy Russell; two brothers, Walter Birkbeck and Gary Birkbeck and his wife, Tammy; six sisters, Mary Emery and her husband, Vernon, Barbara Hedberg and her husband, Duane, Cheryl Morgan and her husband, Rich, Margaret Oddo and her husband, Peter and Lisa Birkbeck and Susanna Birkbeck; 14 grandchildren; his companion, Phyllis Russell; and his good friend, Norman Field.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Thomas Birkbeck.
