LEWISTON — Walter C. Douglas, Jr., 74, of Lewiston, died Thursday, July 8, at Russell Park Manor.

He was born in Brunswick on March 12, 1936, the son of Elvira (MacKenzie) McEachern and Walter C. Douglas, Sr. He attended schools in Bath, and later moved to Lewiston where he resided for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.

He worked for many years for Boston Sheet Metal, and later worked for Morin the Painter and the Pineland Center.

He is survived by his children, Virginia, Crystal and Wendell Douglas, Wendy Sparks, Ann Brown and husband, Gary, David and Christopher McEachern, James Douglas and Tracy Collins; many grandchildren; his mother, Elvira McEachern; his sisters, Beatrice Douglas, Carolyn Gilliam, Marilyn Orchard, Sharon Martel, Donna Pellegrino, Pamela Jones, Katherine Irizarry and Rhonda Cox; and by his brother, Frank McEachern.

He was predeceased by his son, Corey Douglas; and his stepfather, Frank McEachern.
