RUMFORD — The Rumford Grange will hold an open house to pay tribute to John Kezal on Saturday, July 17. Kezal has spent many years working on behalf of veterans in Maine through the Maine Veterans’ Home and the Western Maine Advisory Committee and has been named the Grange’s “Citizen of the Year” in appreciation of his service.

He has also been associated with the American Legion Post 24 for many years. There will be a luncheon at noon, followed by the presentation of the award and entertainment by the Bare Bones Blue Grass Band.

The band consists of Herman LeBlanc, lead guitarist; Becky Law, harmony and rhythm guitar; Red Small, banjoist; and Dick Pelletier, guitarist and other string instruments.
