ERWIN, N.C. — Harold W. Pulsifer Jr., 71, a former resident of Livermore, currently of Erwin, N.C., died Monday, July 12, at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital.

He was born Jan. 4, 1939, in Lewiston, the son of the late Harold W. and Ada Brackett Pulsifer. He was a 1957 graduate of Leavitt Institute in Turner. He had served in the U.S. Army.

On April 17, 1976, he married Lorraine Dechamps at the North Livermore Baptist Church in Livermore. Mr. Pulsifer was the retired owner and operator of Harold’s Super Service in Livermore.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Deschamps Pulsifer; sons, Jody Pulsifer and wife, Shannon, of Maine, Chris Pulsifer from Missouri, Bernard Boileau and wife, Doreen, of Florida; daughters, Danielle Shea and husband, Dean, of Dunn, Lise Voigt and husband, Louis, of West Chester, Pa., Rachel Thornton and husband, Dan, of Falmouth and Michelle Boileau of Bangor; sisters, Isabel Batcheler, Jean Frazier and Marion Crosson, all of Maine; 17 grandchildren; and three great-granddaughters.

He was predeceased by a son, Dean Pulsifer; and a brother, Donald Pulsifer.
