FARMINGTON — Dane is a handsome German shepherd/rottweiler mix that was owner surrendered at the Franklin County Animal Shelter because his owners no longer had time for him. He is about 1-year-old and does need a lot of training, said staff.

He has a lot of pent up energy because he is so young and would do best in an active home with no young children. Dane leads very well once he has had a lot of his energy burned out. Dane is young and just needs a second chance on life with a gentle, but firm individual who can give him the time he deserves, said staff members.

New dogs at the shelter include a rat terrier from Stratton, a spaniel mix from Farmington and a pug mix from Wilton.

For more information, stop by the shelter at 550 Industry Road or call 778-2638.
