Trustees meeting

PARIS — The Paris Utility District monthly trustees meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday, July 19, at the Paris Utility District Office, 1 Paris Hill Road.

Women’s luncheon

SOUTH PARIS — Members of Christian Women United will meet for a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the South Paris Congregational Church. The speakers will be Sharon Walker of the Rumford House of Peace and singer Andrea White of Rumford.

Church supper

NORTH WATERFORD — A public supper, featuring strawberry shortcake for dessert, will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at the North Waterford Congregational Church, Five Kezars Road, off Routes 35 and 37.  The menu will include baked beans, American chop suey, casseroles, salads, brown bread, rolls and beverages.

The price for adults is $7 and children under 12, $3.50. Regular Sunday worship services are held at 10 a.m. at the church during July and August.

Driver safety class

BRIDGTON — An AARP Driver Safety Class for drivers age 50 and older will be presented from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, at the Bridgton Community Center, 15 Depot St.

Insurance companies in Maine now give discounts to drivers age 55 and older who complete the course at least every three years. The registration fee is $12 for AARP members, $14 for others. Advance registration and payment is required by July 26. For more information, call 647-3116.

Public breakfast

OXFORD — The Oxford Lodge will have a public breakfast on Sunday, July 18, at Oxford Plains Speedway in the old Oxford Homes parking lot. Service will start at 6 a.m. and continue until the food runs out. Cost is $7 each plate. There will be scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, hash, english muffins, home fries, milk, coffee and orange juice.
