Summer festival
SABATTUS — The Town of Sabattus invites residents to come meet their neighbors at the Sabattus Summer Festival from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at the Town Hall.
There will be a free barbecue and kids will have the opportunity to play games and climb on board a fire truck. The festival will be held rain or shine.
Residents should bring a picnic blanket and chairs. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Canine cuisine
LEWISTON — The YWCA will host a “Canine Cuisine” class at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 20.
Wendy Wren will teach participants how to make easy to prepare, healthy treats in their own kitchens. Attendees will leave class with recipes and samples.
Cost is $15 for YWCA members and $20 for nonmembers. Call 795-4050 to register.
Building dedication
GRAY — The town of Gray will host a celebration and dedication of the new Henry Pennell Municipal Complex at 24 Main St., from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 24. There will be a free shuttle bus service from the Gray Plaza.
There will be live bands, food booths, quilt raffle, trivia games, sporting event and other games. A town picture will be taken at 3 p.m. The dedication will be at 4 p.m. and cake will be served. The First Congregational Church will sponsor a chicken barbecue at 5:30 p.m. and there will be fireworks.
