SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Debra K. Arsenault, 54, of San Diego, Calif., passed away on Friday, July 9, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in North Carolina, on April 12, 1956, the daughter of Peter Vlahakos and Joyce Vlahakos-Levesque.

As part of a military family, Debra moved across the country extensively, settling in the Lewiston-Auburn area, where she married Raymond Arsenault on June 11, 1976. Together they bought a home in Turner, where Debra raised a family she loved and was very proud of.

While living in Maine, Debra was a long-time employee of L.L.Bean, where she enjoyed her work and made many lifelong friends. She attended college at the University of Maine Augusta, whereupon graduation, she followed her heart to San Diego, Calif., where she settled with her companion, Kristopher Lingo. In San Diego, Debra worked for Kristopher’s business, Security Trust Deed. Debra also became an accomplished, nationally certified aqua fitness instructor.

Debra was an avid Red Sox fan as well as a San Diego Padres fan. Debra embraced life to its fullest and lived a very active lifestyle. She loved crafting, shopping, cooking, gardening and most of all she enjoyed the great outdoors and all that it entails.

Debra will be remembered as a warm, loving and passionate mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, companion, and friend.

Debra is survived by her loving companion, Kristopher Lingo and his two sons, Matt and Sam Lingo, all of San Diego, Calif.; her daughter, April Arsenault-Schreiber and her husband, Matt Schreiber, of San Diego, Calif.; her son, Peter Arsenault and his wife, Jaimie Arsenault, of Auburn; her son, Alex Arsenault and his fiancee, Alicia Jacobsen, of Poland; her beloved grandchildren, Deliah and Caelan Schreiber and Acadia Arsenault; her siblings, Pamela Menard of Windham, Peter Vlahakos of Cumberland and Lisa Morin and her husband, Maurice Morin, of Auburn; several nieces and nephews; and Raymond and Doris Arsenault of Lewiston and the entire Arsenault and Levesque families.

Debra was predeceased by her mother, Joyce Vlahakos-Levesque; her father, Peter Vlahakos; and her stepfather, Richard Levesque.
