BRUNSWICK — The Broadway hit “Chicago,” a satire on a corrupt criminal justice system set in Prohibition-era Chicago, will return to Maine State Music Theater on July 21 to Aug. 7.

“My first passion about ‘Chicago’ is the incredible dance in the show — all in the movement signature of Bob Fosse,” said director Donna Drake, who has received four Drama Desk nominations, a MAC Award nomination, an Emmy nomination, a Nightlife nomination and a Theatre World Award.

“Fosse’s use of slinky moves and quick isolations, rolling shoulders, and sleek thrusting movements make for a unique and exciting style of dance,” Drake added.

Choreography is by Rhonda Miller, founder and former co-owner of The Edge, Los Angeles’ premiere dance studio.

Tickets are available online at www.msmt.org, by calling 725-8769 or at the box office in Pickard Theatre on the Bowdoin College campus.
