The Moxie Day parade organizers should be embarrassed of themselves. This year’s parade was one big advertisement for politics. A huge majority of the fun and enjoyment of a parade was missing.
There is a proper time and place for politics. I, and probably many others, don’t believe politics belong in a parade.
People go to a parade for a nice time, not to have people shove political views and opinions on them along with their dumb stickers. I know I didn’t have to accept them, and I didn’t. I wouldn’t even shake hands with them; another time and place, maybe, but not in a family parade.
