RUMFORD — John Maurice Pache, 76, died Wednesday, July 14, at the Rumford Hospital. He was a resident of Mexico.

Born in Rumford, Sept. 3, 1933, he was a son of the late Victor and Yvonne (Gauthier) Pache. He was a graduate of Mexico High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War from 1952 to 1956. He was an electrician for Boise Cascade Paper Mill in Rumford until his retirement in 1993.

He was a member of Rumford Falls Aerie 1248 FOE, Napoleon Ouellette Post 24 American Legion. He was a doll repairer and a quilter.

He was married in Rumford, Feb. 16, 1957, to Eva “Bunny” Arsenault, who survives of Mexico.

Other survivors include three sons, Mark Pache and his wife, Susan, of Rumford, Raymond Pache of Farmington and Francis Pache and his wife, Heather, of Germany; two daughters, Corrine Downs and her husband, Bradley, of Andover and Catherine Pache of Rumford; a sister, Louise Barre of Augusta; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
