Employees of the Lewiston Coca-Cola Bottling Plant have voted 25-11 to withdraw from the union which has represented them since about 1976.

“They (Local 340) have now been decertified as the bargaining agent for Coca-Cola,” said Portland attorney Herbert H. Bennett, who represented the company.

With the success of the decertification in Lewiston, Bennett said, the Teamsters “are now completely out of Coke.”
