ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Suzanne Hamby, 63, went to be with the Lord on July 8, joining family and friends. She was born on Sept. 14, 1947, in Portsmouth, Va.

The daughter of Henry and Irene Hennessey Hamby, Suzanne was a graduate of Edward Little High School, Class of 1965, and went on to graduate from Florida State University with a degree in business administration. She resided in Florida most of her life, raising her family there. A very caring person who always reached out to the less fortunate, she loved animals and especially fond of horses which she had owned.

She will be sadly missed by all whose life she touched.

Suzanne leaves behind two sons, Robert and David; brother, G. Mark Hamby; sisters, Mindy Hamby, Cindy Hamby and Kathy Hochberg and Lois and cousin Megan; and many nieces and nephews.
