LEWISTON — Community Credit Union was proud to present the Trinity Jubilee Center with a check for $500 as part of the Maine Credit Union League’s Ending Hunger initiative.

According to Kim Wettlaufer, executive director for the Trinity Jubilee Center, the center regularly addresses otherwise unmet personal, family, social and spiritual needs of people in the surrounding communities. They offer a drop-in center, meals and food, refugee relations, child care, advocacy and intervention. In a year, they serve 3,000 families with 35,000 plates of food, 35,000 diapers, 7,500 pounds of produce and 15,000 loaves of bread.

Community Credit Union is a member-owned, full service financial institution that has been serving its members and the community since 1945. It has branches at 144 Pine St., Lewiston, and 40 Stanley St., Auburn.
