AUBURN — The wedding of Cheryl Lynn Sauer and Leon Nick Smith was held at noon on June 8 at the East Auburn Baptist Church. Pastor Roger Cousineau officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Smith is the daughter of Francis Goulet and the late Kermit Sauer. She is also the stepdaughter of the late Roland Goulet and her stepmother is Kyoko Sauer of Clovis, N.M. Mr. Smith is the son of the late Herbert and Mary Smith.

The bride, given in marriage by her daughter, Pepper, and granddaughter, Lilly Bo, wore a full-length bridal gown and carried a bouquet of red roses.

The bride has been employed at convenience stores at Mobil and Crossroads Market.

The bridegroom was employed at Pioneer Plastics for 31 years, served in the military for 23 and one-half years and drove a taxi part time for 15 years.
