In the first two games of the District V Senior Little League playoffs, Elliot’s Tom Metivier had gone hit-less in four trips to the plate. So when he led off the bottom of the seventh against Auburn Suburban Thursday night, he was an unlikely hero.
But a hero he turned out to be, as Metivier blasted a 2-1 pitch from John Linnell over the 300-foot mark in centerfield. The shot gave Elliott a 7-4 win over ASLL and forced another game between the two teams at the Elliot Ave. field tonight.
