WILTON — Glenn E. Brasier, 92, of Madison, died Sunday, July 18, at his daughter’s home in Wilton.
He was born July 12, 1918, in Athens, the son of Leon and Caro (Leavitt) Brasier. He was educated in the schools of Sangerville and Skowhegan. When younger, Glenn worked in masonry, bridge and dam construction and the woolen mill in Skowhegan. For many years, he worked in the office at North Anson Reel, retiring in 1983.
In 1947, he married Isabelle Pinkham in North Chesterville. They were married 54 years before her death in 2002. He was a wonderful husband, caring for Isabelle steadfastly through her long bout with cancer. He was blessed with wonderful family members, friends and neighbors who helped him remain active and busy through the years after Isabelle passed away. Special thanks go to them for their support and thoughtfulness.
He has been a member of the Madison Congregational Church since 1962.
He is survived by two daughters, Gini Soboleski and her husband, Frank, of Spencer, Mass., and Robin Bragg and her husband, Richard, of Wilton; two grandchildren, Amy Wright of Sullivan, Ind., and Erika Webster and her husband, Louis, of East Dixfield; four great-grandchildren, Shawn and Adriana Wright and Isabelle and Brady Webster; a sister, Arlene Elias of Madison; a sister-in-law, Marjorie (Brasier) Pease of Rochester, N.H.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Glenn was also predeceased by his parents; a brother, Clair; and a grandson, Glenn.
