LEWISTON — On July 27, The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce will offer a no-cost Brown Bag roundtable discussion for its members at the Chamber office, 415 Lisbon St., Lewiston. The topic will be “Medical Marijuana — The Law and You,” with Sage Peterson, CEO of Strategic Sales Advisers, who is qualified to use marijuana.

The discussion will review the law and the implications for patients, their doctors and those wishing to cultivate for qualified patients. This workshop will be helpful to health-care providers and potential patients and those seeking information for someone they know.

Peterson will share information about who is qualified to use marijuana; what conditions or symptoms the state specifies; what the doctor’s responsibility is in certifying a patient; what is a caregiver’s and/or dispensary’s role in helping patients; and other information.

A graduate of Antioch University, Peterson has more than 25 years of sales and marketing experience. Her specialties include planning, creative problem solving, social networking, business-to-business marketing, training and sales strategy.

The Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce hosts a monthly Brown Bag roundtable discussion event for its members at the Chamber office. Members bring their questions (and their lunch) and learn from other members by sharing information, knowledge and experiences through informal discussions on a variety of business-related topics.

There is no charge for this brown bag seminar; however, attendees are asked to register on the Chamber website at www.androscoggincounty.com, or place a courtesy call to the Chamber at 783-2249, or send an e-mail to [email protected] to reserve a space.
