State police are investigating an apparent-murder suicide inside a Hollis home this afternoon.

State police detectives say that the bodies of 50-year-old Mike Lagarde and 44-year-old Freda Lagarde were found shot to death Wednesday afternoon around 1 p.m. in their mobile home on Brook Lane in Hollis.

According to a press release, detectives say it appears that Mike Lagarde shot his wife before turning the gun on himself. They believe the shooting may have taken place on Tuesday night.

The pair were discovered by the woman’s daughter, who went to the house when she could not reach her mother by phone. She found the bodies in or near a back bedroom of the house, then called 911.

The two were married for about five years.

Freda Lagarde worked at LOXICS in Biddeford and Mike Lagarde worked at Garland Manufacturing in Saco
