1936 – 2010

AUGUSTA — Robert J. Semetauskis, 74, of Rockland, passed away Monday, July 19, at the VA Hospital in Togus, after a long illness.

Born in Lewiston, Jan. 11, 1936, son of John and Antoinette Semetauskis, he was educated in Lewiston schools. He served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1957, and the Army from 1961 to 1969.

He was also a member of the VFW and the American Legion. He was a proud man and proud of his military service.

He is survived by his son, John Semetauskis and wife, Marlene, of Leeds; daughter, Tina Baril and her husband, Randy, of Lewiston-Auburn; three grandchildren, Nicholas, Darcelle and Kayla; one great-grandchild, Jazlynn; by his loving fiancee, Dorothy Getchell and her loving family; and his first wife and loving mother of his children, Lorraine Pepin of Lewiston.

He was predeceased by his parents.
