LEWISTON — Central Maine Federal Credit Union hosted a reception recently to present books to Androscoggin County public middle and high school librarians.

The annual donation of “Books for Kids” is Central Maine Credit Union’s signature community project. This marks the credit union’s eighth year for donating books to Androscoggin public schools.

The program has been recognized since 2003 with the Dora Maxwell Award in recognition of outstanding achievement in a social responsibility program. This year, the credit union received a first place Dora Maxwell Award.

Central Maine Credit Union is located at 1000 Lisbon St. and has been providing financial services for 60 years to those living and working in Androscoggin County.
