JAY — A Mass of Christian Burial with full military honors was celebrated for Eugene V. “Gene” Roy Wednesday morning at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay, with the Rev. Roger Chabot officiating. His daughters, Alexis D’Ascanio and Terri Hartley presented the first and second readings. Gifts were presented by his granddaughters, Stacy Tufts and Andrea Smith. Musical selections were by Therese Therrien, organist and the Resurrection Choir.

Bearers were Jason Bayer, Trevor Tufts, First Sgt.Rick Tufts, Nick D’Ascanio, Tobin Clough, Alex Hartley and Matthew and Ken Smith. His grandson, Alex Hartley, played taps at the committal. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery, Livermore Falls. Arrangements were by Finley Funeral Home, Livermore Falls.
