LISBON — The commencement exercises for Lisbon Falls Christian Academy were held on June 12, at Lisbon Falls Baptist Church. Graduates are as follows:
Jordan Latouche, son of Claude and Tina Latouche of Lewiston.
Robert Riggs, son of Francis and Sally Riggs of Topsham.
Both graduates were the recipients of four-year ROTC scholarships, which were presented during the ceremony. Major Jim Karcanes, who runs the Army ROTC program at the University of Maine at Orono, presented Latouche with a $125,000 scholarship, which he will use to attend Houghton College in western New York.
Navy Petty Officer Joseph Mitchell of Lisbon Falls and Mark Pare of Sabattus presented Riggs a $180,000 scholarship, which he will use to attend Clearwater Christian College in Florida.
Dr. Barry Beebe, president of the New Brunswick Bible Institute, gave the commencement address, where he challenged the graduates to think about “Who they are going to be.”
A reception in honor of the Class of 2010 was held in the Family Life Center following the commencement exercises.
