AUBURN — Corona D. Lamontagne, 93, formerly of Maple Point, Auburn, died peacefully on Thursday, July 22, at Clover Health Care Facility with her family by her side.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 24, 1916, the daughter of Ludger and Marianna (Leclair) Duchette. She had been a resident of this community all her life.
She married Louis Lamontagne Sr. on Nov. 11, 1933, and he died in May 1990.
Corona was a homemaker for most of her life.
She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church.
She is survived by three sons Louis Lamontagne Jr. of Sabattus, Maurice Lamontagne and his wife, Denise, of Auburn, and Robert Lamontagne and his wife, Pierrette, of Auburn; two daughters, Constance Beaucage and her husband, Sylva, of Auburn, and Priscilla Charpentier and her companion, Ronald Alair, of Wales; four sisters, Elsie Rush and her husband, Max, Irene Boilard, Therese Cote, and Shirley Mailloux and her husband, Maurice; a sister-in-law, Gloria Duchette; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a few great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Gerald Lamontagne; seven sisters, Mary Rose, Lucienne, Jeanette, Germaine, Olivette, Alfreda and Rita; and by one brother, Ronaldo.
The family would like to thank the staff at Clover Manor Health Care Facility for the wonderful care they have given to Corona during the past year.
