BANGOR, Maine (AP) — The public is invited to a meeting to comment on a new management plan for northern Maine’s Baxter State Park.
The meeting will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bangor Public Library.
Park officials want to hear what custodians of the more than 200,000-acre preserve do well or poorly; how services can be improved; favorite or most-disliked aspects of the park, and how the park might adapt to future needs.
The park management plan was last given a major overhaul in the mid-1980s, although it’s been updated in minor ways since then.
