SOUTH PARIS — The Oxford area community came out to support the Child Health Center’s Big Brothers Big Sisters annual Bowl For Kids Sake event. In partnership with local businesses and individual bowlers, Bowl For Kids Sake raised more than $28,000 to support their mentoring programs.
The proceeds from Bowl For Kids Sake will be used to support community and site-based programs in the Oxford County area.
Bowl For Kids Sake prizes were awarded to top team and individual bowlers who raised the most pledge money. The Top Team prize went to Dancing Trees, which included Jacqueline Kennagh, Michelle Kilgore, Julie Kiger, Andrew Scott, Ryan Paradis, Tamara Dobbins, Jeremy Condon and Ali Kiger. Individual prizes were awarded to: first place, John Gouin; second place, Jessica Richardson; and third place, Linda Jack.
For every $100 raised in pledge money, individual bowlers were given a grand prize ticket to be entered into a drawing for a flat screen high-definition television. The grand prize winning ticket holder was Trisha Hodgkins of Lewiston, who bowled with Northeast Bank.
