Dick Hebert was an incredible, quiet leader for Lewiston-Auburn. Our communities are dotted with beautiful buildings built by Hebert Construction — a legacy that will live on for decades and decades. Many local nonprofit organizations (including The Chamber) were the beneficiaries of his service and his generosity.
A few months ago, when I talked to him about these accomplishments, he quickly pointed out that his greatest pride was working with his son to take over the leadership of the family business — so that business could remain a force in Lewiston-Auburn.
We will miss him mightily, but I am truly thankful for the three great legacies he gave to our communities.
Chip Morrison, Lewiston, president
