AUBURN — Evelyn Hackett, 91, a long-time resident of Auburn, died on Sunday, July 11.
She was born in Gorham, N.H., March 19, 1919, the daughter of David and Harriet Vachon. She was married to Clayton Hackett for 50 years, living in West Auburn, where they farmed and raised their family.
Survivors include daughters, Joy Thibault of Rockland, Jean Bennett and her husband, Eugene, of Auburn and Judith Tomasik and her husband, Randolph, of Corinth; four grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and a cousin, Ivan Kennedy of Gorham, N.H.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband; five siblings; and a son, Bernard John Hackett.
