APACHE JUNCTION, Ariz. — Harmon Brown Jarvis, 71, formerly of Durham, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 30, at his Arizona home.
He was born in Island Falls, March 18, 1939, the son of Clarence and and Marcella (LaQue) Jarvis. He was educated in the Windham and Bridgton area, graduating from Bridgton Academy in 1955.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955 to 1962. He married Laurianne Lizotte on Dec. 5, 1962, and began raising his family.
He was a tireless man working multiple jobs, including 30-plus years as a welder for Boilermakers Local 29, retiring in 2003 to Arizona. His joy in life was watching the races, working on cars and helping others.
Harmon is survived by his daughters, Gina Doughty of Greene and Sabrina Stickney of Rumford; sons, Mark of Lewiston, Keith of Auburn and Rodney of Lewiston; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents.
