CANTON — The nursing class of 1964 from Central Maine General Hospital/Central Maine Medical Center held a reunion on July 10 at the home of Polly and Ray Bussiere on Canton Lake.

A potluck lunch was served along and many memories of “training” days at CMG, Crotched Mountain and Augusta State Hospital were recalled. A student uniform and cap were on display and old pictures were shared. Boat rides were available after the weather cleared.

Those attending were Polly Carlin Bussiere, Sylvia Douglas Averell, Barbara Harris Warren, Gloria Learnard Hall, Mavis Merrill Pomeroy, Connie Morrissette Orme, Gloria Philbrick Porter and their respective spouses.

A boxed lunch and card were delivered to classmate Lola Newton of Sumner, who was unable to attend.

The next reunion will be held in early July 2011 at the home of Ron and Connie Orme in Goose Rocks. Connie and Gloria Porter are the planners.
