Each year, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Ladies Auxiliary 1248 raise money and organize events to benefit area nonprofit organizations. Recently, Rumford Community Home accepted the Eagles Auxiliary donation of $500 to enhance the activities programs on the Alzheimer’s Unit. Every month, RCH hosts an Alzheimer’s Support Group open to families and individuals caring for people with memory loss. The support group meets from 7 to 9 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month.
