SOUTH PARIS — Roberta Metivier, MS, administrator of Market Square Health Care Center recently announced that Marianne Gallo, LCSW, has been appointed the social services director for the facility and began her position the in mid-July.

Gallo received her bachelor’s degree in social work at Adelphi University in New York and her master’s degree in social work at Columbia University. She relocated to Maine in 2002. She had previously worked at Market Square from 2005 to 2008, after which she went to work for Oxford County Mental Health Services as a senior counselor for outpatient therapy and to do crisis coverage.

Gallo notes that Karol-Ann Keniston, the outgoing director of social service, will be staying on a part-time basis and that she is pleased to be working with her. Barbara Townsend is the social service assistant for the facility.

Gallo lives in Mechanic Falls.
