Summer fair

LOVELL — A “Fun in the Sun” summer fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 5, at the Lovell U.C.C., Route 5, Center Lovell. There will be gifts, baked goods, produce, flowers, balsam fir pillows, a Christmas boutique, treasures, a raffle and a luncheon.

Car show

OXFORD — The Uptown Cruizahs Car Club will host the second annual car show on Sunday, Aug. 8, at the New Balance Factory Store, Route 26. Car registration will be from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The cost is $5 each car.

Participant voting will run through 12:30 p.m. and awards will be held at 2 p.m. There are 21 classes this year plus Club’s Choice. There will also be a Chinese auction. Items can be viewed until 10 a.m. at which time the drawings will start.

Attendees should bring chairs. There will be door prizes, free NSRA safety inspections, a 50/50 raffle and plenty of food. Red Wing will provide the music for the day. Proceeds from the event will benefit local charitable organizations. For more information, contact Less Wing at 890-0870.

Seniors picnic

HANOVER — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club picnic will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Stony Brook Campground. Members should bring a salad or dessert to share.

Record reunion

OXFORD — Descendants of J. Henry and Annie Deering Record gathered at the home of Gene and Mary Record in East Oxford on July 25 for their annual reunion. Gene and Mary Record have hosted the reunion for the past few years.

Family and friends came from all over the area and out of state to enjoy each others company, a potluck dinner and a Chinese auction. Memorabilia was shared and pictures taken. The group hopes to meet again on the last Sunday in July of 2011.

Support group
