FARMINGTON — Farmington Police continue to deal with three or four car burglaries a night. They are seeking information from the public about anything that’s out of the ordinary, said Bonnie Pomeroy, department secretary on Thursday.

A rash of burglaries started July 19 and last week police reminded residents to lock vehicles and asked them to report any strange activities.

It hasn’t stopped, she said.

The burglaries have happened just about every night usually involving unlocked vehicles. Missing items include GPS systems, CDs, iPods, accessories and backpacks.

The burglaries have occurred in different areas and at different times. Last week police were investigating burglaries on the Fairbanks Road, High, Court and Church streets, she said. This week the thefts have expanded to Granite Heights and other streets.

Police have increased patrols.

Anyone with information is asked to call the department at 778-6311.
