LEWISTON — Rita L. (Bergeron) Paquette, 77, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 27, at Central Maine Medical Center, after a very short illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Jan. 27, 1933, the daughter of Alex and Demerise (Lapointe) Bergeron. She attended local schools and for many years was self-employed as a daycare provider. She also was employed in the Physical Therapy Department at CMMC before retiring.
She was married to Lionel Paquette on Nov. 25, 1954, and he died on Feb. 26. They enjoyed 55 years together. Rita enjoyed playing cards, dice games, making puzzles and especially playing on her computer.
She leaves three children, Leo Paquette of Lisbon Falls, Larry Paquette of Lewiston and Rachel St. Clair and her husband, Dan, of Lewiston; three grandchildren, Zachary Paquette of Lewiston and Alex and Nathan St. Clair of Lewiston; and two brothers, Gerard Bergeron and his wife, Elna, of Lewiston and Maurice Bergeron of Oakland, Calif.
Besides her husband she was predeceased by two sisters, Theresa Dulac and Sister Pauline Bergeron.
She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends especially her three special friends, Sue James, Terry Letourneau and Yolande Caron.
